We run combined youth services in cities across NZ, with a heart and focus to gather the next generation across the church, see young people encounter Jesus and become connected to a local church. These events are full of fun moments, powerful praise and worship and preaching of the word of God.

Our annual YP retreat happens every May in Wellington, New Zealand. Our desire is to gather youth pastors and leaders from across NZ, to be equipped, trained and to encounter God afresh. We want to see leaders strengthened, supported and sent out into their ministries with fresh faith and vision.
We hear powerful messages from guest speakers, as well as practical trainings and time to connect with one another.
Every For This City Event
Collaboration
Every church involved has the opportunity to contribute regardless of size or resource, and this diversity should be reflected in leadership roles across the night.
Praise & Worship
Songs of praise and worship that exalt God and stir faith in young people, selected from our approved song pool.
Gospel Message
A gospel message from a speaker of good and trustworthy reputation who is actively building the local church.
Salvation Appeal
An invitation for teenagers to respond to the gospel and pray the prayer of salvation during the service.
Next Steps
A clear next step to connect a young person into a local youth ministry. There must be a clear pathway for teenagers to engage with the local church after an event.
Heart
The event must carry the heart of For This City — all youth pastors and team leaders will need to sign our partnership agreement, and a HSW coordinator will need to be appointed.
