Why We Collect It

We collect your personal information in order to:

• Carry out our role and function as a youth community and organisation
• Provide pastoral care
• Inform you about services, events and activities
• Comply with legal requirements (e.g. charitable donations)
• Protect children and young people
• Complete registration and management requirements for conferences and events
• Improve our delivery of services
• Complete internal analysis and reports

Providing information is optional. If you choose not to provide personal contact information, we will be unable to connect you with local youth ministries or keep you updated about For This City events or activities in your region.

Keeping Your Information Safe

We keep your information safe by keeping it in a secure database and only allowing authorised access by the For This City approved team or the leadership of the participating youth ministries.

You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. If you’d like to ask for a copy of your information, or to have it corrected, please contact us at hello@forthiscity.co.nz.

Photo & Video Waiver

During For This City services and events, authorised team members may be taking photographs and capturing video footage of various aspects, including shots where individuals and groups are identifiable. Please note that we may use these shots in social media and for promotional purposes.

• Footage is only captured by authorised personnel and will only be posted on social media featuring the official For This City watermark.
• Photography and video is only to be captured by authorised personnel identifiable with a For This City team lanyard.

Social Media

We use social media networking services such as Facebook, Instagram and YouTube to share content and promote our initiatives in a public space.

When you engage with us using these services, the social network may collect your personal information for its own purposes. These networks have their own privacy statements which are independent of ours.

Health, Safety & Wellbeing

For This City has obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015. This includes keeping records of all incidents such as first aid, near misses and accidents.

For This City is obligated to keep records of serious Health and Safety incidents, misconduct and pastoral incidents, notifying leadership and board, as well as relevant government agencies such as the NZ Police or Worksafe of any such incidents.

For This City is legally required to notify the NZ Police or relevant authority of occurrences of, including but not limited to: criminal acts, sexual assault, domestic violence, child abuse, or whenever there is concern for the safety and wellbeing of an individual.

Host / Partner Youth Ministries

Venues or organisations hosting For This City services or events, and partner youth ministries should have their own Privacy Policies that govern their management and stewardship of personal information.
